Senior Category Manager
Reporting directly to the Manager of Procurement and Contract Management, you will assist the team in providing professional advice in the delivery of the Procurement & Contract Management functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Lead, manage & coach the team to achieve the best outcomes in procurement and contracts.
- Provide professional expertise and advise in relation to procurement activities, contract management and supplier agreements.
- Developing annual procurement plans, procurement strategies, conducting procurement events, drafting market documentation and implementing contract management plans.
- Working collaboratively with suppliers, to develop and maintain positive relationships.
- Lead and / or support the implementation of training, education, communication and other change related activities for further development.
- Prepare reports, memorandums and other business documentation.
- Support the Manager Procurement and Contract Management in control of the team budget.
REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in leadership, decision making and negotiation skills.
- Ability to drive and improve performances.
- Minimum 5 years working in a similar position.
- Current drivers licence.
- Current Police Check.
- Degree in Business, Law or Commerce - desired.
- Background in ITC - desired.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and high pressured environment.
- Qualification in Commerce, Procurement of Business administration will be highly regarded.
- Knowledge of IBM Maximo system - desired.
