Employment Support Officer
A local not-for-profit organisation who runs apprenticeship, employment and community programs is looking for a highly motivated individual to join their team. This well known organisation with over 40 years' experience prides itself on supporting young people to start their careers in a Apprenticeship.
About the position
The purpose of this position is to promote and deliver quality services by generating Australian Apprenticeships commencements through business development and account management activities.
As an Apprenticeship Support Officer, you will develop business relationships with Employers, Apprentices, Registered Training Organisations, Schools, Job Network agencies and other stakeholders; fostering these relationships to ensure sustainable performance outcomes.
You will undertake contact visits to employers and apprentices/trainees where required; and provide ongoing support to them.
The successful applicant will be required to:
- be self motivated with initiative and capable of planning and organising a caseload
- recruit apprentices and trainees
- work closely with businesses and host employers
- have good computer skills in a variety of packages
- hold a current drivers licence
- have good written and oral communication skills
- be able to work effectively in a team and work autonomously
This role will initially be 3 days per week, with the potential for increased hours.
