Our client based in the Shepparton area is a large organisation that conducts a fortnightly payroll of approximately 200+ employees and are looking for a Payroll Officer to join their team on a part-time basis for a period of 6 months.

Working within this payroll team you will help to achieve the requirements of the organisations fortnightly payroll and other compliance matters.

This role has some flexibility to location of daily work but would require consistency of days worked to align with payroll days.

The responsibilities of this role will include:

• Check and process fortnightly leave and payroll timesheet prepared by business sectors and liase regularly to seek clarification of information.
• Provide guidance to employees on interpretation and application of leave, salary, salary sacrifice and other payroll policies
• Work within the payroll team to assist in cross checking, all calculations, processing and data entry to achieve a high level of accuracy and integrity of payroll data.

Key Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

• Knowledge and experience in payroll administration (experience in large payrolls will be valued highly)
• Ability to manage a range of competing demands
• Great organisational skills and high attention to detail
• High level verbal, written and presentation skills and the demonstrated ability to work independently and with teams
